M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Two weeks ago my father in law surprised us all (Kids and grand kids) with a vacation to southern California. He is taking us to Disneyland, Sea World and tour of San Diego. I have never been to Disneyland and I am so excited to watch my 4 year old and 3 year old meet Mickey Mouse. (I am excited to meet him too)

For the last two weeks I have had a difficult time concentrating,reading or even sleeping.

This is worse than Christmas! Blogging will resume around March 7th. Until then, I will be enjoying the happiest place on earth and yes, I will find a book related prize to giveaway when I get back.

Why?

Because I like you!

The Grocery List /Pimp My Post

Inspiration came from the controversy of the past week. I am sure everyone has heard about the author that posted a tantrum (That rival's my three olds temper tantrums) over a bad review.  I was pretty ticked off when I read what she wrote about book bloggers (you can find a copy of the original post here) The more I researched the whole story the more I found the entire situation comical. No there is nothing funny about name calling, but there is something funny about an adult stomping her foot in a hissy fit, embarrassing herself and creating a giant fiasco out of herself .

I already had faith in the book blogging world. Everyone I have encountered has been more than kind and generous with support and friendship. BUT this book blogging family exceeded all of my expectations by stepping up and taking care of each other. There is no one out there that will get away with being mean to a book blogger - and I LOVE IT!

Anyway, in short the author called book bloggers "unprofessional" and that "Oftentimes, the people who set up these kinds of blogs have never written a thing in their lives, except maybe a grocery list."

I have been in search of a new meme to do on this blog and walla - here it is
The Grocery List / Pimp My Post.

What is The Grocery List? Well part the idea is a combination of my own and one that I have seen on many other blogs including Candace's Book Blog and Pure Imagination.They have a linky for bloggers to link their "book reviews and other neglected post" on. So in essence a grocery list of reviews! (Ha Ha)

Included in the weekly "grocery list" will be a list from me of different things. That's all I can say because it will be a different list every week and until I write it, I won't know what will be on it.

My hope is also that something good can come from the bad week the book blogging world had last week. And sometimes you just have to laugh at what life throws at you, otherwise you just end up being ticked off all the time.
