Synopsis
Download the novella My Soul to Lose, an exclusive FREE prequel to Rachel Vincent s Soul Screamers series.

She doesn't see dead people, but
She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.

Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next.

Would I read My Soul to Take again? Of course! I think it would be fun for a parent and teen to read together. It is a book that both adults and young adults can enjoy. I think that this series would be a great audio book too.

Would I let my teen read it? Older teens, maybe 16 and up. There is no sex but the book deals with adult content such as death and the afterlife which may not be suitable for younger readers.

My Thoughts: Why didn't I read this sooner? My Soul to Take is a story unlike any I have read andI thoroughly enjoyed this book, finishing it in only a few days.

I hope to see more of Tod, the reaper. His character feels conflicted and I feel like he has a story to tell. (It is one that I would be sure to read) I secretly hope that Kaylee and Tod end up together. She will be able to grow as a person more with Tod than she will with the (too) perfect Nash.

Last Sacrifice Eve

Warning: contains spoilers for The Vampire Academy series.

I feel as giddy as a kid on Christmas Eve. Last Sacrifice will be released in the morning and we FINALLY get to find out what happens to Rose and who she chooses; Adrian or Dimitri.

I was introduced to The Vampire Academy earlier this year and immediately liked it. Richelle Mead has created a world that I don't want to see end, but will be happy to learn the conclusion of Rose's story.

In Blood Promise Lissa, Avery and Oksana have a "spirit" battle while Rose watches helplessly. Rose has a dream while she is entranced in the battle. My theory is that not only is Avery a spirit user but she has some psychic ability that is unknown to the others and allows her to predict the future. The dream Rose has about her and Dimitri is the possible future. Having that much spirit power concentrated in one spot has got to create some uber spirit energy.

Who killed the queen? Tasha Ozera did it, with the help of an insider, perhaps, Adrian’s mom?

What will happen with Adrian? I believe Adrian has real feelings for Rose. He will see that Rose will never be happy with him so he steps out of the way so that she and Dimitri can be together. I think he will continue into the next series establishing a relationship with Sydney the alchemist. I hope Adrian gets his happy ending too.

Lissa will be offered the throne and she will deny the position. She has too much to offer now that she knows how to use spirit to heal the strogoi. . . . But she would make an excellent queen.

I HOPE we get more of Abe, he seems like he can throw the smack down.

I don't know if I will get any sleep tomorrow night but one thing is for sure, I will enjoy learning the outcome of The Vampire Academy. Then on Wednesday I will have some VA withdrawal symptoms like I had when Harry Potter's story was finished.

I hope that you will enjoy the final book in The Vampire Academy and would love to know your predications and theories for Last Sacrifice.

Happy Reading.
